Glass cutter, Fletcher Circle Mate - max diameter 70 cm
The CircleMate cutter, made in the United States by Fletcher, serves two functions:
1) Cut round glasses up to a maximum diameter of 70 cm
2) Cut glass strips lengthwise from a plate up to a width of 30 cm.
The cutter does not allow to cut rounds with a diameter of less than 13cm.
To make the round cut you need to:
1) Press the suction cup against the glass and fold the lever that makes the suction cup adhere to the glass.
2) Set the diameter measurement on the millimeter metal bar.
3) Keep the cutting block pressed against the glass and rotate it around the pin constituted by the suction cup.
4) With a glass cutter make radial incisions around the round.
5) Press gently on some points of the round incision so that the parts of the plate outside the round break.
To cut glass strips lengthwise, you need to:
1) Remove the suction cup
2) Insert the metal bar into the hole in the squaring bar with the word EDGER facing up.
3) Secure the measurement with the locking screw.
4) Set the measurement of the width of the strip by fixing the cutting block to the millimeter bar.
5) While holding the squaring bar against the glass plate, press the cutting block against the glass at the starting point of the cut.
6) Drag the squaring bar along the plate while continuing to press the cutting block evenly.
7) Move the plate so that the insertion is on the edge of the workbench.
8) Grasp the plate with two hands and pull it down with a sharp blow.
The cutter is equipped with a block of 3 glass cutter wheels.
The block of 6 spare wheels (code 2126) can be ordered separately.
