Gilded baroque frames with gold wood liner 500x600 mm
Baroque frames are composed of a wooden base and a upper part in polyurethane foam.
They are entirely covered with golden leaf and hand-coated.
They have a 4 cm golden mountboard.
In small size frames (up to 30x40 included), the width of the frame including the mountboard, is 110 mm.
In the larger size the width o the frame including the mountboard is 140 mm.
Frames can be used also without the mountboard.
In such a case the size increase 8 cm higher per side (for eg.: a 30x40 mm frame with mountboard, becomes 38x48 mm without mountboard).
The internal size actually is a bit larger than the size showed. For example, the real size of a 30x40 cm frame is 30,5x40,5 cm. The size of the stetcher bars in fact tend to increase when the wedges are hammered to stretch the canvas.
The rebate of the frame is 22 mm. It is possible then to frame paintings on stretcher bars up to 22 mm (20 mm if the frame has the glass).
